Gettin there....
Hit a solid number this week; 40lbs of (mostly) fatloss from Jan. of '08. Still not lean enough for a shirt-off, but looking decent in clothes. Just look at my wrists and shoulder width to feel the pain of my genetics, but I'm holding on to good chest measurements and decent arm measurements thanks to my training. IFing has helped me bust through a couple of plateaus, but the last bit will likely be the hardest. How's everyone else doing as we approach the "mid-year" mark?

Doh! I think it was something along the lines of I'm doing a FB A/B routine now after 16 productive months on a four day split.
I'm using the 'rush factor' and taking between 5 - 10 recovery days between workouts. I still need to fine tune the recovery, but I reckon that it'll end up being 6 - 8 more often than not. I did my second workout of the new routine today and it felt good.
Weighted chins
Nitro vertical chest press
Full deadlifts
Nitro shoulder press
All done in just under seven minutes. It would have been less but I couldn't get my dipping belt off after the chins. It never occurred to me to just 'step out' of the belt without undoing it!
As I say, it felt good and I'm starting to stiffen up a bit now. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of progress I can make on this. Once I get the weight, reps and target TUL nailed it should be interesting. My average and maximum heart rate were both only one bpm less than they were on my last all out 2k on the rowing machine so my heart and lungs are getting a good workout as well.

Here are a few crappy cell phone pics taken recently after about 3 months of training following a 14 month lay off. I'm weighing 70kg in these.

T Knuckles,
Looking good and since you seem to be fairly lean you should many good months of mass increases. Have you thought about posting your workout journal on this site as I do, I would be interested in seeing it if you wouldnt mind posting it.
Thanks

31 years difference photo comparison
here's 31 years difference and 28 years difference below that with other recent shots. Just turned 50 and getting better with age. Now, at this stage of life, my goal is to stay lean and get bigger only by adding size incrementally (if at all) not by "bulking up" with fat along with the muscle. Also, I just feel better staying lean year round. Mike Mentzer said: "It is best never to allow enough fat to accumulate so the abs become memories." Whatever fat starts to settle around the midsection is going to have to be removed one day. Far better to keep your abs throughout your training career; so that when contest time comes around you will only require minimal dieting. (Mentzer quote from Robert Kennedy book "Beef It!")
