Have you seen/been photographed with a 'celebrity'?

Today, I was in my local Starbucks this afternoon having a coffee with my wife when in walks Alex Arthur:

He's lives a few minutes walk from from where I live and is a great international boxer. I was due for a 'top up' so I went to the counter and managed to catch his eye as he waited for his coffee. I asked him about his training to which he replied that he's being trained by Ricky Hatton, another famous boxer and that he's due to start a twelve week training camp prior to his next fight in July.

He said that he'll be training three times a day with no days off! He may have the odd day with just the one training session and that will be his break. Needless to say, there was a sharp intake of breath on my part but I resisted the temptation to give him 'thebiggfella HIT lecture' otherwise we'd have been there until closing time!

I've seen him around before but never had the chance to speak to him. He seemed like a really nice, down to earth guy and happy to spend time answering my questions. Unfortunately, I neglected to get a photograph.

I've also had my photograph taken with Colin Charvis (retired Wesh international rugby union player) whilst in a Newcastle night club. He's one big guy! Also, I've been snapped with Peter Ebdon (professional snooker player). I was at a wedding in the same Sheffield hotel in which he was staying in during the snooker world championships several years ago. He's not so big.

Anyone else got any similar tenuous 'claims to fame'?

Charlie Dimmuck sat behind us on a flight to Vegas. She's a little thinner in real life.

Sat opposite Usher on the way back from LA once. He was at the bar in 1st Class.

Met Mike Tyson in a Vegas shopping mall. Didn't realise it was him at first.

Saw John Voight filming on Santa Monica pier. Can't remember what film it was though.

Gots lots of these if I can remember.

As far as I'm concerned, one of my old dogs was Englebert Humperdinck's dog's sister. I'm that famous! Also my dad went to school with John Deacon from Queen. I bet nobody can beat that.

He had a bit part in a DVD I watched last night (The Hangover). He's a bit more rotund than what I remember and what's with that tattoo on his face? Madness as far as I'm concerned but I suppose he had his reasons.

I thought about that one. He’s got quite a few others if I remember correctly. Mr. Landau for one. He is somewhat of a celebrity in HIT circles.

I bowled a few balls at Geoff Boycott once in the nets

Also I bumped into Prince Naseem once at Gatwick Airport and nearly knocked him over. He was on the same flight as me returning from New York. I picked my case off the carousel ,turned around and bingo. I couldn't believe how small he is.

I also used to work with Tony Sibson (fought Marvin Hagler for the Middleweight World championship).

Gary Lineker came to one of my birthday parties as a kid. We also played in the same Leicestershire junior cricket team.

As for photos,Gladys Portuguese (former Ms Olympia competitor) at the Mr Olympia in New York 1984.

And at a sports trade show at the Atlanta Falcons stadium I had my photo taken with Jennifer Capriati (Tennis), Eric Bristow (Darts) Joe Montana, Herschel Walker (US Football) Jaromir Jagr (Ice Hockey) Nadia Comaneci (Gymnastics).

I spent a couple of years at the beginning of this decade as an Immigration Inspector at Miami International Airport, and stamped the passports and chatted with a few celebrities. Steven Segal (fat as hell), Catherine Deneuve (classy lady), but my best day came when I had a nice chat with Daisy Fuentes, who was a real sweetheart.

Heavy metal legend Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour

I've met a few, but my favourite photo is one with Kenny Aronoff when he was filming a breakfast TV show here, which my girlfriend later had framed on top of some sheet music for my birthday a couple of years back.

I also have several photo's of me with the members of Queen when I was about 11 or 12 when they were shooting the video for "The Miracle". Although I remember I gave them to my mum since she's the Queen fan!

Bumped into Cristina Milian in London, Soho about 3 or 4 years ago. She had the world's biggest minder...at least they seemed to find my terrible jokes funny. She is delightful...just...delightful...

I met with Dave Mustaine in Toronto at the airport in 2004. On Megadeth website there was a post that he's coming in the evening and there was also a flight number. So I went. There were a couple of fans waiting and I was alone aside. Then Dave came down the elevator with his Manager and while other were just standing, I went towards them and shook first his manager's hand and then Dave's. Dave asked me if I was a recording company manager. When I asked why, he said because I shook his hand second.
Then, we all had a chat with him and he asked if I was there to watch Canada Cup as our (Slovak) team played there and he's also a big hockey fan.

I have also a photo with him. Really nice guy, very approachable.

I'm a big fan of Megadeth and they are playing this July in Slovakia. Guess what? I'm going to be there.

Like Mark HIT I am a big fan of rock concerts , favourite groups being the likes of Pearl Jam , Pink Floyd and lately Kasabian , Ive seen loads of bands and have been lucky to meet with a few of the bigger bands members Bon Scott & Angus/Malcolm Young (AC/DC ) back in 79 ` , David Coverdale ( whitesnake & deep purple ) to name a couple , unfortunately back in the day cameras were not something teenagers lugged about with them & there was no such thing as a mobile phone let alone one with a camera.
However heres a pic from a more recent concert where I was taking time out ( having a pint ) pitch side at the `City of Manchester stadium` whilst the `Red hot Chili Peppers` awful backing group played. I turned around and Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante ( singer & guitarist with the RHCP ) were standing right by me. They were very friendly and shared a brief chat before I asked if I could take a pic , once I got the pic others ( previously oblivious to their presence ) came scrambling round and the singer/guitarist made a swift exit.
My son who was up front with his friends couldnt believe my luck .

Seeing him at the show you would never have believed it was him Paul , he looked like a trainspotting geek , but he was very cool when chatting and I agree what a guitarist . I believe he has now left the RHCP !

Well, I live in Dubai and there are a lot of rich and famous people loitering about here so I do keep bumping into someone or the other on an almost daily basis.

Danny Williams, the heavyweight boxer is a friend, Nicholas Anelka is too.

I've met and spoken to George Galloway, British politician on several occasions.

Met Fred Flintoff twice in Dubai.

I'll put down some more once I remember!!
